WynnExtra Holiday Club Provision
For 5 weeks of the annual school holiday calendar, we run a popular holiday club for our children at Wynndale. The club runs from 8.30am until 5.15pm. Parents also have the option to book their child on for half-day sessions.
WynnExtra is run by our Pastoral Lead, Carly Taylor. Carly is there every day, and each day, different members of existing school staff, support the club. The additional staff that support the club, each offer an activity within their realm of interest and expertise. The different activities we offer for the children include Arts & Craft, Forest Schools, ICT and Baking. Mr Brookes also comes in to deliver a sports focused day, often bringing in fun equipment for the children to use such as wheelchairs for wheelchair basketball, Lights and fluorescent sports accessories for glow in the dark activities, and a bouncy castle.
WynnExtra welcomes special visitors into the club to provide additional exciting opportunities for the children. Here are some examples of who has come to WynnExtra in the past:
Jungle Jo has come to WynnExtra many times. She delivers a live animal handling session for the children - bringing with her a weird and wonderful selection of rainforest creatures.
Tilly’s Pots came to WynnExtra for a special Halloween activity where the children chose a Halloween themed clay model to paint.
Conor from The Magic Emporium is a regular visitor for us at WynnExtra. He performs engaging and fun magic tricks, and delivers exciting party games with prizes, for the children.
Here is some feedback from parents whose children regularly attend WynnExtra:
(My child) ‘Really enjoyed the full day, liked the structure but the freedom to choose activities, great spending time with friends!’
(My child) ‘really enjoyed his time at the holiday club, loved the sports and being able to play with his class friends. Really enjoyed the Easter egg hunt.’
‘My little boy had a fabulous time and really wants to attend again. It was nice that he got to do some fun filled activities with his friends. It was also really nice as he wasn’t nervous about going like he has been at other clubs.’
‘My child loved it, proper tired him out and really helped with child care instead of putting on worry and stress to the parents knowing he's safe and happy.’
‘Excellent club, added an additional day as child loved it so much’
‘It was really well set out to be fair … they were very well organised days. I left my child on the Monday morning at the start and I left very happy. Everyone was full of energy, chatty and excited. Greeted at the entrance with smiles and positivity for the week ahead and everything that was planned to do.’

Childcare Vouchers
If you wish to pay using childcare vouchers, you need to inform school so that we can set you up on the School Gateway system.
This facility is only available to those families that have indicated they wish to use them and have checked with the school to ensure we have set up an account with the childcare voucher company prior to attending. The ones we currently use are:
- Computerserve registration number is: 0017682802.
- Fidelity is also a company some parents use – just search for Wynndale Primary, there is no number you need to set your account up they say.
- Edenred has been set up by school, the account number you will need is: P21132041.
- Government – Best Start in Life https://www.beststartinlife.gov.uk/childcare-early-years-education/tax-free-childcare/eligibility
Please let us know if your employer uses a different company and we can set up the Breakfast Club & Afterschool accounts with them.
