Safeguarding at Wynndale
The safety and well-being of children is paramount and we see safeguarding as everyone’s responsibility.
The whole staff team at Wynndale Primary are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where all children feel included, protected and able to thrive. Our robust safeguarding policies and procedures meet all statutory requirements and ensure that the welfare of every child is our highest priority.
We promote a strong culture of vigilance and support through anti-bullying initiatives, and comprehensive online safety measures. Safeguarding is explicitly taught through our personal development curriculum, empowering children with the knowledge and skills to stay safe in school, online, and in the wider world.
We support our children, staff and wider community to ensure that signs of abuse are acted upon swiftly and children and adults are equipped to deal with associated risks.
The Safeguarding Team at Wynndale
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL's) oversee the safeguarding provision across the school, ensuring that policies and procedures are effectively implemented, staff are well-trained, and a strong safeguarding culture is maintained. They provide strategic leadership, ensuring that safeguarding remains a top priority in every aspect of school life. The school also follows safer recruitment practices when recruiting new staff or using outside providers.
