Head Boy & Head Girl
A warm welcome to Wynndale from Head Boy and Head Girl
Our role as Head Boy and Head Girl is to support our school and teacher in any way possible. We help Mrs Rickersey (our Head Teacher) by showing new students, parents or special visitors around our marvellous school.
Our Wynndale rules, known as ‘The Wynndale Way’ are: Be Ready, be respectful, be safe’. We promote these values across our variety of pupils. If your child follows these rules frequently, they may receive an invitation to our special ‘Hot Chocolate Friday’ celebration, to celebrate their amazing attitude to learning or fantastic work, generously provided by our lovely Head Teacher.
Along with our teaching group, we also have our amazing parent group, known as ‘T-Paws’. They help fundraise and organise events and activities.
Wynndale is an incredible, exciting school, and is a place where we work hard to achieve our goals and learn new things. For example, in Year 5 we learned about the ancient Greeks, and in Year 6 we took a magic trip to The Holocaust Centre. These topics vary every year. We also learn plenty of maths, science and English in preparation for our Year 6 SATs test.
Last year at Wynndale Primary we introduced a new ‘house’ system. Every child is assigned to a house and can earn house points for their team. We have the amazing Blue Unicorns, the fabulous Green Dragons, the astonishing Yellow Griffins, and the incredible Red Phoenixes. Each of the houses has two House Captains, who are appointed each year. House points can be earned through high standards and going above and beyond in your learning.
Our school also offers a Breakfast Club, where staff will look after your children from 7:45am. We also offer an after-school club until 6:00pm, providing lots of fun things to keep your child entertained.
We hope to see you soon at our wonderful Wynndale Primary School!
